Fresno's Only Rock N' Roll Choir
Starting in March 2013, Debi Ruud, owner and founder of The Voice Shop, now Fresno Music Academy & Arts, is the choir director of the Hearts on Fire Rock nā Roll Choir. HOF gathers musicians every Wednesday at the ViSTA Theater (adjacent to FMAA) at 7:00 PM and brings music to life. HOF is a non-auditioned community choir. If you have the desire to sing and be a part of a group that rocks, come join us.
WEDNESDAYS AT 7:00PM
Since our inception in 2013, we have seen our numbers grow. Modeled after a similar group from Sonoma, CA - Vox Populi, we work on songs that we grew up loving. You do not have to read music. We will give you your part, you listen to it and practice and together we build these songs.
CARDIAC CAFE
Every month, the members of HOF treat themselves to time at the mic. Using either a karaoke track, playing the guitar, piano or accordion, we take some time for ourselves and strut our own work. Join us quarterly - Cardiac Cafe is open to anyone.
Hearts of Fire scholarship
The Hearts On Fire Rock n Roll Choir does 2 performances a year at local venues with Fresno. Each performance is a benefit concert, raising funds for Hearts On Fire Scholarship Fund.
Since 2018, funds from the Hearts On Fire Scholarship are able to provide two potential students with a six-month scholarship that pays for 6 months worth of lessons in any lesson types offered at Fresno Music Academy & Arts.
If you or someone you know would like to submit for one of these scholarships, download the application by clicking below. You can also find the application on our Facebook page, or visit one of our Fresno Music Academy & Arts locations. We are thrilled to be able to help new students get started with music.
